Last Full Day Tomorrow

Yes.  Camarena TK is amazing.  Yes.  The students in Camarena TK have made it amazing.  Yes.  They will do GREAT things in the years ahead.  The answer is also, “Yes”…Mrs. Karem will miss them dearly… ❤

A few things about tomorrow and our Aloha TK Friday:

• Report Cards will be in the folder of your student’s year long work sent home tomorrow – Thursday, June 2nd.
• Please have your child wear “Hawaiian” attire, or something beach casual on Friday
• Friday, June 3rd: Please bring your student to the classroom at 8:00 am
• TK Performance in the auditorium from 8:10 am to 8:30 am
• Reception and Goodbyes from 8:30 am to 9:00 am

It will be a great last two days of Camarena TK!  =0)

Good evening, extraordinary Camarena TK Families ~

This is the post I have been avoiding.  I have refrained from saying, “It’s hard to believe the end of TK is near.”  Now, however, I have no choice.  The last week of our terrific Camarena TK 2015 – 2016 year is here, and it is hard to believe…

I have grown so very close to your children, grown as a teacher, and grown as a human this year along side your children.  I truly believe that each of them will make a difference, and I look forward to seeing the unique and creative way they touch the world.  I feel SO VERY fortunate to have had them in my every day this past year, and feel grateful to have had you, the families, in my life as well.  Your deep love and dedication to your families is inspiring, and I am hopeful our connections will be lifelong.  Everyday in Camarena TK has been GREAT, and I know this will make each school year ahead just as GREAT!

Aloha TK Celebration

• Friday, June 3^rd – Last day of School
  • 8:00-8:30 Students to room 308 – Parents go to School Auditorium – Student Performance
  • 8:30-9:00 Reception and Goodbyes – in front of 308 in TK Playground
  • Donations of small waters or juices prior to the event would be appreciated!

It’s hard to believe that we only have 2 weeks left of our school year!  Our kids have grown to heights beyond measure this year, and thinking about how proud I am gets me misty!  I adore being a part of your children’s lives, and will be enjoying each and every moment we share together these next two weeks.   They will all do amazing things in the years to come, and I hope to stay in touch to witness all of it!  =0)

It is hard to believe we only have 3 weeks left (…and only two Mondays) of TK!  Our learning environment is richer than ever, and the next few weeks will be packed with learning until the last day.  I am feeling sentimental already, though, and will be enjoying each and every smile, laugh, and hug!!  =0)

Goodafternoon, extraordinary TK families! ~

We had a BLAST at the Camarena Color Splash 5K this Saturday.  If you came to the event, wear your T-shirt on Monday to show your Robo Griffin pride!  =0)

We have a fun week ahead with a focus on metamorphosis and the addition of physical education.  It is also Teacher Appreciation week, and TK kiddos love to participate!  Please, read our newsletter to find out more!

Good afternoon, magnificent TK Families! ~

We had such a great time at the new children’s museum last week.  It was fun and edifying!  I will be sending home a discount coupon for you to visit with your families.  I know the TK kiddos would love to re-visit and explore on their own!

We will be starting a new unit of study that will guide our curriculum for the next three weeks.  We will also be starting preparations for our annual Aloha TK!  We will perform a few special dances for the Aloha TK! celebration in the morning of the last day of school, June 3rd.  Stay tuned for more information, and SAVE THE DATE:

Good evening, sensational TK Families ~

Today was an especially great day for our Camarena TK!  Thank you to all the parents who joined in the memory-making!  A special thanks to the Chaperones who helped ensure the students had a great experience, and ensured their safety.

I also wanted to let you know that I will be out tomorrow, and there will be a substitute teacher.  Mrs. Huezo will be there as well, so it will be a smooth day.  I will miss the kiddos, and hope you can let them know for me.

Field Trip Tomorrow!

Tomorrow is our field trip to the new children’s museum from 8:00 am to 12:30 pm!

New Children’s Museum, 200 W Island Ave, San Diego, CA 92101

• Please have your student bring a lunch and snack only – NO backpacks.

• Those families joining us at the museum may take your child home directly from the museum by signing out with Mrs. Karem.

• The bus will arrive approximately 8:45 am, and we will arrive at the museum approximately 9:15 am.

• Parent Drivers: Metered parking is recommended. The underground parking garage is $10 per vehicle and does not open until 9:30am.

This week we will visit the New Children’s Museum on Thursday, April 21st.  The field trip is from 8:00 am to 12:30 pm, and all families are able to join us at the museum.  Please contact me with any questions.  It will be an exciting day!
